I know pirate sites are bad for the anime community so I'm not going to get mad.
This post is for other kissanime users who ended up getting attached to the website, as dumb as it sounds.
Honestly, I'm pretty sad about it. When I started watching anime again after years, I used kissanime. I re watched Naruto and started watching other anime almost everyday on the website. It also helped me reconnect with an old friend who lives in a different country. We watched all kind of anime together. Because we weren't able to share our screen with each other, we had to use a site without mid roll ads and sync the videos.
The captcha "game" where you had to choose the right pictures with numbers was annoying at the start, but I already miss it whenever I press "next episode" on other websites and there's no 'boy, no eyebrows, 1' or ' dog, flower, 7'. I miss the guitar that played before the episodes started (It's a ringtone called Harmonics for Samsung phones).
There are other websites you can use, but I'm not going to recommend any because I'm afraid of recommending something with malware.
If you had any anime bookmarked on the site, it's gone forever. I don't know if there'l be refunds for people with premium but seems unlikely.
Right now a lot of people are feeling down about this, so you can always post about your experience with KA here or check r/Kissanime which is full of both memes and serious posts.
Even if it was a pirate website, it was quite welcoming. I remember some commentators who were always appearing on the comment section of popular anime. Hopefully other sites will keep that good community together.

And a video I found with alternatives (I didn't check if they are safe so be careful if you use them):

Also, considering the size of this group I assume some people might get upset about me posting this, considering it does harm the general community. Personally I use pirate websites because I can't pay for subscriptions as I'm in college doing three courses and don't have the time for a part-time job. I also have little free time and the amount of ads in sites like CR makes it hard to watch even just two episodes before my lessons start.
My point is, I know I'm in the wrong but I'm not going to start using legal websites until I can pay for the subs.
If you text me I'm happy to remove the link advertising pirate sites.
