The 2nd half of this was bad, half of the villains that got defeated or killed off should not have. Mikoto, Kai, Magensha etc. were strong as hell but got defeated in the dumbest ways. The tournament was just all over the place and the characters and plot were way too confusing.

It's been more than 20 years since this show was made... I lost hope of having a remake.
But do you mean that the adaptation wasn't faithful to the manga ?
