| Okay. I don't really want to resurrect the common question of which to watch, since I've read through pretty much everything I can find on the internet in that regard. Instead the conclusion I've reached is "Why not both?" As somebody who has difficulties with long-running and older anime, I was originally looking at DNT as like a taster to see if it grabs me, but the idea of the original giving more plot and character depth is really appealing to me...As indecisive as I am, I was thinking of watching both side by side. If someone familiar with the series could possibly give me a rough comparison of how the series runs (e.g Eps 1-2 of DNT = 1-13 of OG etc.) that would be amazing! I'm planning to watch the relevant DNT episodes, and then the original (since someone mentioned DNT being slightly less confusing) - that way I can experience the best of both worlds without the chore of rewatching 12 episodes worth of content in one chunk... Then again, if you think this is a terrible idea, please let me know XD |
