| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Volume 2, Chapter 2, This chapter introduces what looks to be the main conflict of the novel; the relationship between Renton and Eureka. What I liked about it is how simply the issue sprang up, how simply it could be resolved, and how simply it was not. That speaks to a larger misunderstanding or problem within the relationship. This chapter also really helped my understanding of the Voderac. It makes sense it was a new religion that looks and operations like a cult so that the majority of the people would be fine with its surpression. I can't remember hot it actually worked in the anime, but I really like this novel's take on it. |
