I honestly don't think the animation is bad since it fits the anime pretty well but that's just my opinion I'm not sure if it's a low budget studio or what though

Animation is not bad due to budget or else.
But sometimes VFX or 2d 3d mixture or time duration or colors or
anything else may cause bad visuals. so it depends on which scene
is to be discussed. Based on that different factors are responsible.
some scene has light colors. it is small detail it can be neglectable.

Really? I personally really liked the animation. I didn’t see that much still frames or CGI (not that they’re bad, I just don’t prefer it) and most of the character’s action were very fluid. The color scheme and drawing styles also seems really unique.

I personally don’t think that the animation itself is bad. The art style felt unusual at first. I think it’s mostly because of the artstyle, the coloring and all that. We see that the color palette is more pale (pastel) than a usual anime. I think that’s what made it look like bad animaon over all.

Probably must be that yeah. Just not used to it I guess.. The Characters look a little goofy.

I personally think the animation was great and the fact that they did not use 16:9 dimension makes it more cinematic.

character design looked nice (in the teaser and poster), for that reason that i was interested in watching. but i was disappointed, some weird frames and most scenarios looked really awful.. also i love vampires, but the plot wasn’t that appealing to me so far, i might watch till episode 3 tho.

The animation isn't bad. It's stunning. Maybe you mean it has a simple visual style with less detail than normal but that doesn't make it bad. Monogatari has a similar visual style. It's all artistic intention and has nothing to do with budget. Budget rarely affects 2d art quality.

i found the animation to be kinda jarring/surprising probably because im not used to seeing this kind of animation used so much in an anime (im not sure what its called tho is it cg or 3d animation??)
also a huge disappointment for me abt mars red is the anime artstyle/character design,, ik a lot of people hate when manga readers complain abt anime adaptations but PLEASE take one look at the manga art n you'll realize why manga readers were so disappointed so many of these characters unique points were sapped away by the anime designs n made them look like very typical characters that have been seen before in anime- ik anime artists cant completely replicate manga character designs/artwork but this was just way too different (i will give them props for the lighting n backgrounds tho they look gorgeous)

I actually really like the animation. It fits the vibe pretty well and it makes it look interesting. The animation style was one of the things that convinced me to watch this show after seeing the trailer 😅

Actually the animation is no bad.its kind a new and unique animation.i personally liked it.like if you watched burn the witch where you see the module animation.every anime have their own unique animation.for me i really love that animation

really? you would watch 90s animation over this? im not sure if you know but most 90s anime had horrible animation compared to today, there are some exceptions of course like evangelion and cowboy bebop but i would say this has better animation then even 90% of the stuff airing this season - at least from an artistic standpoint...

Give more attention, the animation is unique, not bad, and no It's far better than 80s anime. The animators just decided to make background more artistic than realistic. And characters movement realistic. And the result is a unique combination.

Signal.MD is an I.G Port like Production I.G and Wit, but I have the impression their work doesn't get the same amount of time and resources as the others. I'd be surprised if they invested more into Dragon, Ie wo Kau. than Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song. They kind of seem like what Production I.G uses for projects they don't want to, or are too busy to do.

I'd say the animation was very cinematic and artistic, and fits really well with the story. It was really great in my opinion, and like others have said in the discussion, the animation is on a higher level than others during this season.

I think it's good animation, but it's visibly not focused on action scenes so I think it's fine if it looks a little weird when there are vampires jumping around doing crazy stunts.

Nah, I think the animation is good, idk how is the art in the mangá, but she fits well. A little weird in the begging, but when you see more became good. Simple and clean, i like that

Mars Red > Boku no Hero Academia
Mars Red > Mairimashita! Iruma-kun

worse design than:
Mars Red < everything else from Spring season
