There was no cult arc, the characters were semi likeable as well as the ‘sad moments’ being tweaked a bit so they were actually sad and not funny.

Way late on this but I think it was the wrong studio to do it, it would’ve been automatically better with a more serious animation style and just more dramatic in general because it was really hard to take seriously at times
