| I don't know about it being axed but it's definitely ending prematurely, which is incredibly sad. I started reading soloist the day it came out translated and then it went on hiatus for 2 years. It just recently came out of hiatus a few months ago and it's already ending. I had huge hopes for this series. It has a solid premise and some of the best art I've seen. Just a real shame that it's ending prematurely. Now I'll just hope the author makes a full recovery, so that the next time he makes a series he'll actually have the chance to fulfill whatever vision he has. |

| looks like there will be at least 19 chapters (and not just 17). it's very unlikely that the series got axed. the chapters are getting released weekly but most chapters are around 40 pages long. the mangaka probably finished the season/series before it officially came back after the hiatus. |
| Thought to read this but it just came out of a 2 year hiatus and is already reaching it's climax(getting axed) :/ So sad. |
