| Since i read the Manga and i noticed the story is a lot different from the anime i wondered if you like the Manga or the Anime more. I like the anime too but I came to the conclusion that i enjoy the Manga more since it focuses more on Kurusu and Aoi. While the Anime gave off the impression to me that the main character was Maeda, the Manga is more centered around Kurusu. All over all i think the two different approaches to the stories are very interesting. Both interpretations have really good parts that aren’t shown in the other. When i watched the anime after reading the first few manga chapters it felt like a different story that just happens to have the same topic and same characters. |
| Agree with everything you said, they're almost two completely different works which just have the same characters, with the same personality but not necessarily explored in the same way. I'm only 6 chapters in, and chapter 4 is more than enough to make a decision: I enjoy the manga more. I also know what happens with Kurusu's development in chapter 9 and it hits me way more than the anime. BUT! Things like episode 1, episode 7 and the addition of Misaki and Rufus were pure genius and I can't wait to see how they will play out. Defrott also seems more interesting in the anime adaptation (but I need to read the rest of the manga to judge it). So, to me, both adaptations are extremely good but they have two different purposes. The anime is very unusual in everything (unlike the manga) which doesn't help with its popularity. PS: I love Kurusu and Aoi's focus in the manga as well but I'm sure that the show is slowly building them up for the climax. Kurusu will probably be the focus in the second half (act?) of the show. Also, their relationship is the only love story(?) left, all the others already ended in tragedy :// |
