What's up with the hate,I really do not get it , I mean it's not a great series ,but not terrible either .Also to the ones saying that the fact that Kei's behaviour indicates transphobia ,I must say that you are totally wrong .Using the same logic ,we can say that Seiko from Chi no Wadachi is an indicator of sexism that shows that women are psychopaths . Because there is a character in this story that happens to be transgender and acts the way he does, doesn't mean that the author tries to pass the message that transgenders are like that. Don't be ridiculous.

I don't see no transphobia or anything else. This is just garbage story. Chi no Wadachi is much, much more entertaining. This is just yet another "weird love triangle" like Flowers of Evil. I gave it a try- I didn't like it. It doesn't even make me uncofortable like Flowers or Trail does- this is just boring.
This author really is big "hit or miss"- they can write "Trail of Blood" or "Inside Mari" and they also can write "Net Cafe", "Okaeri Alice" or "Kusakabe-san".
Not everyone has to love everything you love. I see people hating on my favorite stuff all the time.

you got me wrong I'm not a fan of the series it just seemed to me kinda idiotic that everyone was calling it transphobic and shit . Of course Chi no wadachi and aku no hana are by far better .Okaeri Alice is mediocre at best for me .

Its people making a mountain out of a mole hill. This story is just a different variant of the typical "MC's best friend turns female and now his actual female friend has to fight with the newly turned best friend for MC's affection" story.

Were this story written about <2010, you would not be hearing these complaints, rather it would just be taken as another crossdressing/gender bender love triangle story with a bunch of drama.

Exactly. And it's not because social standards drastically change in that aspect. It's rather having more people (due to rising popularity of manga and anime and these two mediums becoming mainstream) being vocal on the Internet about things that are not even relevant that much to the story itself, only to cause ruckus.
