Exactly what the title says. I loved the original OVA and was really looking forward to the upgrade in direction and visuals for this adaptation. It wasn’t as good as I hoped storywise b/c of the pacing and a few other things, but it’s still an interesting premise, right? Why do you think people skipped out on it.

People heavily overreacted with this. While it doesnt do world building as good as the original its still is enjoyable. when i tell a friend how great galactic heroes is, i often just recommend they watch the remake since they likely dont want to watch the old show. Its not as bad as people make it out to be

The OG is really good but I particularly loved the voice cast in this reboot

I have only seen a few episodes from the original OVA, but The New Thesis was quite an incredible series by itself. It's definitely a fresh change of pace from the typical anime. I don't think this series was talked about enough, and it wasn't promoted enough to make people want to watch it. There's also the thing about people saying "just watch the original OVA it's better". I agree that from what I watched, the original OVA had more character and consistency than The New Thesis, but that is still not a reason not to recommend The New Thesis. It's kind of sad that such a great modern show can be put down just because it is slightly worse than the original.
