Why is there Romance tag?

I did not find any subplot/arc that can justify the romance tag it has on MAL.
TBH I am very disappointed because I had found this anime because of the romance tag and then was let down by the anime.

Because it’s a Romance oriented series?
The manga has romance so the Anime will get the same tags even if it didn’t reach that point in the story.
