When I heard it I broke out laughing.... it was one song I never expected to hear, especially after all these years. I have all the Slayers series and movies--the songs were nearly all catchy and fun to listen to

I was also pleasantly surprised by the song XDD. Literally recognised it after the first few words. Does anyone know why they used this song?

Same. Quite the nostalgia trip. The only connection with Slayers Next that I noticed was the director (Takashi Watanabe). Perhaps he wanted to include the throwback and got permission for it. Can't rule out that Juna's VA (Reina Ueda) is probably a big fan of Megumi's. Purely my speculation on both counts.

I couldn't identify it immediately, but it tickled my brain
I think it's been over a decade since I've heard it, was thinking it was related to Magic Knight Rayearth, having cut it off before the beat drop threw me off
