| So, I have a raging boner for Umineko and I need to own the Manga. Incoming run-on sentence. I know it's either super expensive or super unavailable and I know that the Answer Arcs deviate from the Visual Novel and I'm specifically looking for those Volumes. Does anyone have any experience in where to go to purchase them? I've never bought any physical copies of manga before in Japan but I can if I try, I would rather stay at home and not travel. The issue is that I can buy the majority of the Manga online for a redonkulous price but it's very limited to what I can buy. For example I can buy the first chapter of most volumes but the next chapter of that volume is only available on Kindle. (lolwhowouldbuydigitalmediaofagemlikethis??) Any help in directing me to the right retailer would be highly appreciated. TL;DR Need physical copies of Volumes 5-8, need advice on where to buy where they aren't sold out. Willing to travel prefectures in person to purchase but I'd rather not. |

| If I enjoy a series, like this one, I'd hate to pirate it but there's really no choice outside of buying digital copies. Amazon only provides some volumes but there's lots missing in between, those which are only advertised as being digital. I'm willing to pay at least 200 USD for a 'Episode' and/or Volume (physical copy), the fact that I can't and my money is useless is ironic. I guess I'm stuck with the Sound Novel. This reminds me of FATE's visual novel, it's so frustrating. |

| I'm a little lost, do you want the Chiru episodes in English or in Japanese? If it's the latter try yodobashi.com, the prices there seem OK. |

I also checked RightStuf and they have some of the stuff you're looking for at better prices (https://www.rightstufanime.com/category/Manga?keywords=Umineko%20When%20They%20Cry), but I think that ultimately you'll have to hunt all the online shops out there because it's nearly impossible to find all the part 5-8 volumes in English on just one site. You could also wait for a re-print like the other user said but who knows if Yen Press will ever reprint them. |
