| About time we had a properly good episode. |
| That was sad. Everytime a child is involved there are two options: cursed or depressing end. This is my fav chapter of this season, at the moment. |

| While I enjoyed the last episode for the comedic punchline, I enjoyed this episode for the more somber tones. This season is on the upswing it seems, as I enjoyed both this last episodes. The only issue with this one, is I'm not quite sure what the deal with Naomi's bobbing head, was Kiyoto trying to communicate with them through her? I don't know, seemed sort of creepy for creepy sake. The impression I got at the end was definitely that Kiyoto was trying to warn his father, thus the slumped head once he realizes he feels. For the limited movement options of a Papier-mâché tiger, they did a good job of communicating emotion through it. I tend to find after season one, Yami Shibai does better when it isn't going for straight horror, it's the main reason season six is my favourite season because there's more variety in the stories it tells (and in the endings, they didn't all end with death). After season 1, Yami Shibai has been largely bad at building tension well, but they tend to do pretty well when it comes to constructing these types of tales. |
