Wow! This 7th episode is really shit. I was watching it and then its over at a blink of an eye, the only words that uttered my mouth was "Is that it?!"

The episode is just kazuya saying to build a city but there are these urban legend near it and then him saying to move it here and thats it.

That is so unnecessary and they could have done it in 5 mins. Why would you spread it out for 20 mins? Seems like a waste of airtime,budget and animation.

It’s not like it’s not necessary, rather that is not properly adapted. The build a city (Actually the port for it’s usefulness) is meant to be resolved in a different manner and is also foreshadowing for the next part.
It’s JC Staff’s fault. As per usual. They really like to mess up with EVERY LN they adapt. This one, with the odd pacing, is sadly not the exception to the rule.

There are a lot of JC staff animes that I absolutely love and one of them is prison school.

But goddamn! They need to slow the fuck down on how many works they are getting. They're choosing quantity over quality and they are screwing a lot of anime.

I love genjitsu shugi and I think its in the top 15 in this season but sometimes the pacing gets too dull.

JC staff needs to get their shit together.

Even though what you say may make sense,I have to agree with others. This ep don't really need to be 20 mins. Jc staff always have a problem when it comes to pacing,especially when it comes to adapt LN. You will noticed it at some point when you watched all others jc staff work.

Pacing has been fine. Its wordy but that's a light novel for ya

i really don't think "hmm old folktales about a seamonster coming from the ocean and swallowing villages... this may be a traditional way to warn future generations about locational floods" really should've taken a full episode either, lol

like i feel like if you were paying attention you would have figured it out pretty fast, i dunno

Well it doesn't have to be the whole episode. The lengthening of the episode is unnecessary since they could have done it fast.

The problem is very simple, were building a town, theres a legend that some shit will destroy the town and the king saying to move it here.

It does not have to be an episode long to resolve that issue. I bet that theres some other situation more worthy to be covered on screen.

I like this anime don't get me wrong but you have to admit that this episode is paced so bad.

It could have been covered in under 7-10 mins but they drag it too much.

The audience are not stupid. We dont need to be spoonfed by unnecessary information that eventually will arrive at the logical conclusion.
