Really like the show and wanted to read ahead, but don’t like light novels. Is the manga true to the LN or does it veer off a lot ?

They were doing a pretty good adaptation but then completely skipped vol 4 and went straight into the Celia rescue arc. Since the season ends after 1 more ep it is hard to tell what they plan on doing but most likely they will go back and do vol 4 if there is another season.

If you don't like light novel just go and start it's manga. there is not that much different between them. Just start and you realise.

İt's mostly same but they skipped a few chapters and jumped straight to rescuing Celia which isn't even in the manga
