there are alot of things. picked up the polished version with all the expansions, and it was full of glitches. The character creation and development was lame in my opinion there just wasn't any feeling of like a class, it was weird. every spell in the game uses like the same three graphics, which pissed me off immensely, had finally gotten to like the lvl 50 firestorms spell or w/e and surprise! it was a fireball that looked the same as the lvl 1 fireball. the quests were err anticlimactic and hard to follow, I never knew what i was supposed to be doing, and I gave up on the main quest when I had to wait for some guy to follow me from the farthest town in the game to the main town in real time, which took about 1hr/half because he walked. (and no there was no fast travel allowed or else he wouldnt come) the dungeons and enemies bored the hell out of me, they were all relatively the same and the dungeons were pointless basically. weapons and armor also poor selection, the characters were flat and all used like the same voice actors (except for the king of madness, he was awesome) and the list goes on, any aspect you could list, it was poorly done in my opinion. except for the isles of madness those were kinda fun.
I liked his review on it: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/75-Oblivion although he doesnt touch on all the flaws. that being said the isles of madness was the only good part of that game, and wasnt even that great in my opinion, so go play dragon age origins, thats the way wrpgs should be, i could think of no criticisms for that game, its very well done and addictive. |
