1. It was said that contestants were thoroughly searched before entering the ship. For weapons and/or cameras, I think? If that's the case, then how did Kaiji's cigarette LIGHTER pass the guard check? I'm assuming the blacksuits knew Kaiji and others were bringing cigarettes and lighters into the venue. But... I mean, it's a lighter? Saddened players, wanting to rebel, could've set something on fire and caused a real hassle, right? Blacksuits were present to prevent violence, but the lighter could have been used to set another player on fire lmao. Not that Kaiji would do anything like that... but, just generally, how are lighters allowed in?

2. Are the blacksuits armed with weapons? When we see a player get rowdy or rebellious, the only thing the blacksuits do -- or are seemingly capable of -- is restrain players with sheer strength. 2-4 blacksuits may grab players by the limbs and incapacitate rowdy contestants using physical force. In some cases, I think blacksuits attack violent players? But... aren't blacksuits equipped with clubs, mace, blunt weaponry, blades, stun guns and tazers, or even GUNS?
What I'm wondering is: what if everyone decides to rebel? Don't the players outnumber the blacksuits? Even if some players WANT the money and are WILLING to gamble, what about the "half" that lost. The losing 50%? The nude losers could've ganged up on the 4-8 guards containing them in the room and attempted to escape. Whatever the case, I'm surprised staff aren't prepared for chaos.
By default, is every blacksuit combat trained and capable of taking down any player aboard?

3. One of the players was punished for flushing cards down the toilet. How did anyone know about this? How could anyone prove it? If you have three stars -- couldn't you just flush your cards down the toilet and go upstairs? ... Or, does each successful contestant get their footage cross-checked -- even after they walk up to the second floor? To verify that all rounds were played? Is there a video feed that someone reviews?

Maybe some of this stuff was clarified in the manga, which I didn't read.
But these were just three things that crossed my mind over the course of the R/P/S arc.

Setting someone or something on fire is just too much of a stretch. It takes a million years and lighters can barely light a cigarette if you’re not inhaling. Extremely weak flames and is never viewed as a weapon in day to day circumstances lol. Lighter in the pocket is just as common as a phone in the pocket in places

Tbh, I've never smoked or possessed a cigarette lighter. I truly wouldn't know.
But I'm aware that a lot of people do carry them around. I always thought, how is something like that considered safe?

But, lighters are really that weak? I had no idea. I guess they are considered safe...

Still, I think there was alcohol on the second floor of the Espoir. I wonder if someone would consider making a molotov cocktail.

Well, as far as I am concerned, this is a good answer. I'm satisfied. So no one even gave a shit because unbeknownst to me the flame from a cigarette lighter is weak af. 😂
