I just finished the movie and this is my 4th favourite anime of all time. Cast is my 2nd favourite and everything about it is great imo.

that’s funny, i just finished the first season earlier today. i thought it was great. about to start watching the second season now. despite being pretty inaccurate about how high school band normally is, it’s very interesting to see their interpretation on it.

I think its one of my three 10/10 anime, purely because it resonated with an actual experience I had with a close friend I had at one point, and due to its excellent soundtrack. It had great attention to detail as well - the animators caught every subtle detail, from eye movement, to exhales whilst performing.

And I agree, the first season wasn't great. The second season more than made up for it tho.

It's probably the same with me except it's cast is my 3rd fav behind gintama and k-on.
