For an anime that is setting itself up for an mc with high intellect, why would you show a whole episode of food to supposedly help the food shortage then give 0 explanation on how exactly this helped the food problem. The octopus was the only one where we saw the people react and be like oh yeah we usually throw tons of these back. You know you're a moron, right? And that your stupidity and that of others like you has caused shows you like to not get sequels? Reviews do influence what people watch and early viewership is an important metric in deciding what gets more episodes.

Whether you liked it or not it was obvious in the first few minutes this isn't among the worst (or best) anime ever made. It's a ten point scale for a reason. You've obviously never even seen something that's actually a 1.
