| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well honestly, the 2D opener kinda threw me off for a bit, and Kaede used to be nearly one such victim to the Oni. Kakeru under Oni Ibara's control, and still can't quite get it together somehow. Kakeru alone is still quite happy-go-lucky though. Kaede and Haruko have quite a complicated relationship, starting with the former which used to do track and the latter supporting her on the sidelines as a manager of the team. Add the Oni, and it's more towards the severing part between friends. Kakeru's pep talk helped somewhat. I'd think I better start giving names now: Kakeru is the Red Punch, Kaede is the Yellow Lightning and Haruko is literally Pink Ranger lols. Oka is the addition to separate itself from the whole Super Sentai feel. The jealousy feels for the others between Kakeru and Kaede, well...that was an unnecessary angle. |

| Oni possession looks so awful with how its turned. At least they showcase Kaede and Haruko transformation, even Kaede used the fly mode on her suit, which is a nice addition for the episode. The transformation design transition actually pretty decent to watch, honestly. Then the plot itself to bring the background of Kaede and Haruko is simple enough to understand. But why Kakeru bringing such a random shit like that dodgeball allegory. Dude never forget to butt in to other problem, eh? Typical. Haruko pouting because her thinking twerp stealing off her gf actually a nice additional for this episode. Afterall this is pretty much a dedicated episode of them, so yeah, no surprise with how its evolved. |

| The opening scene and last scene in 2d was much better than the cgi in this show… The episode was decent. We got a bit of Kaeda’s backstory this episode and it seems she used the oni’s power to cheat in a jumping competition and win against her opponent Yoko who also gets possessed by an Oni later on. They save her in the end which is great. Overall, the plot of the show isn’t too great imo. Just feels so…empty. Characters aren’t well developed yet and the action is also quite bland. Doesn’t help with the fact that the CGI doesn’t help when expressing the emotions of the characters too well. I guess it’s better than Ex Arm’s or Tesla Note’s CGI though at least. Looking forward to the next episode I guess’ttebayo! (Not really). |

| Why did Kaede and Haruko wait until they were falling off the bridge to change into their battle gear? Probably the last episode I'll be watching. |
| The CG in this is actually more or less decent in this, weird how they used 2d out of nowhere though... But i'll still be dropping this, the story's just such generic boring garbage i can't handle it |
