the uncensored version for animes is usually a must watch due to helping plot and what not an example of such being goblin slayer the censoring kills most of the characters back stories

It doesn't matter. I watched the censored version and had no problems with it. I didn't even notice the censoring. It's just the symbol of the tokyo manji gang. But watch the uncensored version.

Whenever there is an uncensored version, you pick it. No need to ask, it's always better.

The difference between both is only the tokyo manji symbol which is censored because of some controversies you can watch any..

There really isn't much censorship.. so if u can, i would recommend to watch it on YT(Muse Asia) as it is both legal and free.. Nd the censorship really wasn't an issue as all they did was removed a symbol "卐" due to religious reasons

more or less because the symbol today is noted as a nazi symbol instead of its original religious background for peace(I think may have been something other than peace)

Who knows.. but thats also a reason.. and if a whole show can be banned just bcoz of one character (lord shiva in shuumatsu no Valkyrie) then why not

There's one more chennel named "Ani-one Asia" which also uploads anime legally on YT.. i would recommend to check it out too

Watch the uncensored if you're fine with a historical Japanese symbol that represents Buddism and I think peace, but just so happens to inspire the N*zi symbol. (Swastika I think its called)
I'm pretty sure they only censor that symbol;-;

If it was censored and well done, I'd say roll with whichever you like. The censorship for TR, however, is done so poorly that you can't even tell what's happening in some scenes.

Actually, if you look it up, the manji and the swastika are not the same, but are very similar. The censorship was because they rightfully assumed that most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference and make assumptions.

I've known about it for years, so I don't need to look it up. The N*zi Swastika is flipped and rotated.
I understand, but people should really be educated on it. That's why Japan had to change some Buddist temples signs, because tourists got confused. A symbol that originally meant peace, was ruined, and now it's original meaning will probably be lost because foreigners aren't educated when first shown the symbol, or can't be bothered to look it up.

People saying that the censorship is no big deal is genuinely perplexing me. If what DoobieSam said is true, and scenes were made blurry or covered the entire screen with a close-up of someone's face, that hardly seems like a small change.
