As the title pretty much asks, I just finished the show and film and honestly loved the journey to bits but I know a second season is scheduled for next year so I was wondering if I should wait for it to be adapted?

The next arc is good, but i think better you should wait for adaptation

Personally, I think you should wait for the adaptation. The art sometimes get really hard to follow in the manga (especially when there's action happening), and it just doesn't feel the same to me without the great music and beautiful animated visuals. Also, it takes a long time between chapters, so when a new one would come out I would be lost about what's happening, so I stopped reading.

That's just my experience though, and I'll read the chapters I haven't yet when they're released into a volume (so I can binge a relatively complete arc, or at least a solid part of one, and then wait for the next one).

Also, if you're still in doubt, you could always just give it a try and keep going if you're enjoying it :D
