| This wasn’t quite as brutal as I expected or so I thought. There were considerable losses to mourn about, in spite of that we still got a naive happy ending. I'm cool with that, it fitted the theme. Wasn't bothered by some sudden developments due to the length of the short movie either. The main focus here should definitely be the message. |

I found the saddest scene to be when the teacher was begging the kids not to foster hate because of the war. Really tough for kids to go through such conflicts. I hate to see child characters lose their innocence. |

| This was quite an emotional anime. There were many sad things about it, but in the end, the schoolchildren no longer looked down upon Eiko, especially considering that she lost her mother in an air raid as well. I'm really glad that Eiko was able to evade the MPs, and Kenta has gone with her, which made for a really happy ending. This is my 400th completed anime, and it was a great one. :) |

| It's an ok educational children's anime about horrors of war, hatred and friendship. Nothing too special, but something that I imagine can be shown at elementary schools. |
| That was tragic, the message I got from it is that rac3 mixing only brings problem to the children, they can’t integrate because they don’t belong in either side ); My only complain is that it felt deceiving how the moral messages were given by children which were wielding a broad vocabulary and also engaged in complex themes that usually kids don't care about xD I guess its your usual anime thing or maybe is the chibi style makes them look younger than what they actually are hahah |
