Manga vs Anime Episode 9

i mean i guess thx for making this but at the end of the day ultimately every anime does make changes to a certain degree when adapting certain works into anime. making this thread makes me assume you want a 1:1 adaptation. sorry if i’m wrong with my assumption.

I know i am not the one who originally posted these comparisons but since this episode cut almost half the content i need to make a post about it, i wont cover any side chapters tho.

This episode covers chapter 40-49 of the manga, 116 pages total (for reference episode 4 covered chapter 13-17, 64 pages total), i will not list every single detail since i could write a book about it, bear with me.
I would also recommend anyone to read chapter 40-49, works better than me just listing everything, specialy chapter 43 since it was cut completly.

Chapter 40:
-Tachibana is nervous about meeting the king, jinguji says she doesnt need to say anything.

-Tachibana feels atracted to Maria.

-Maria shows the world map and explains that the mother of the 12 gods became the continent itself, thats why it is shaped like a girl.

-Jinguji says if he was the king he would kill anyone who has a proof of royality (goddess crest).

-They mentaly prepare themself to meet the king, tachibana should just smile thats it.

Chapter 41:
-Jinguji tells tachibana to think the people in the audience room are potatos and carrots if she is too nervous, tachibana says i am already 30 that doesnt work.

-Flashback again to them thinking about how to act in front of a king.

Chapter 42:
-Schwarz was mentioned, tachibana thinks he got captured somewhere.

-Jinguji rotates tachibanas head towards all important members in the room to get them charmed in order to optain more funds for them.

-The king wants to give them even more money.

-Tachibana says in their room that her neck hurts from turning around too much.

Chapter 43:
NOTE: The entire chapter was cut from the anime, so here only a short summary.
-Tachibana goes to the changing room with Maria and dresses up in various outfits, tachibana realizes how fun it is to dress up, saying i could do this all day, i now see why girls have so much appeal.

-Tachibana remembers that jinguji sayed that her looks are not his type, getting annoyed by it, requesting maria to dress her up as cute as possible, maria gets scarily excited hearing that request.

-Jinguji talks with shen about the prophecy being real or not.

Chapter 44:
-This one is actually kinda fine (suprisingly).

Chapter 45:
-While Tachibana was running away after the banquet, she was saying i am just a 32 year old guy but when trying to remember how she looked pre-isekai, she forgot how she looked as a guy but was brushing it off.

Chapter 46:
-Tachibana remembers that she enjoyed it when she was praised by jinguji in episode 2.

Chapter 47:
-Jinguji feels like there is something off about the princess (probably her personality).

Chapter 48:
-Tachibana thinks about teenage rebellion with girls bacause of the princess behaviour.

-Tachibana sees a bit of jingujis past in the princess situation.

-Tachibana tells the princess to not use abusiv language (she previously did alot) thats why her speech sounded so polite whlie also not being polite.


Since i watch this anime for the romance i felt like i was backstabbed with this episode, 8 episodes in a row that in total cut maybe 5 pages of content while this episode cut 50 pages of content in just this one episode.
The content in chapter 43-46 is really important for the romance and alot of major elements got cut, i just dont understand why they didnt do 75 pages avarege per episode, then they didnt need to do stuff like this.

EDIT: Now thinking about it, the fact that chapter 43 was cut completly is probably my main concern about this episode.

I dont think the studio thats making this show is dumb to exclude important parts. So if its not in there, then its definitely not needed. If they have excluded it in here, then its probably going to be in an ova or something if they make one. You are just wasting your time crying for something that's already done.
Like @-Elevate- mentioned, when they make an anime, they need to make many changes to keep the story going withim the alloted 24mins and 12 episodes. So if they keep adding useless parts, it will slow the plot progression and make people lose interest.
In the episode discussion thread, I noticed only you were having issues with the episode skipping chapters and called this episode fast paced, and literally nobody else found that an issue.
So better not think that all share the same thoughts as you, when literally nobody cares such minor details

On one hand, I would have liked to see Tachibana embrace being a girl and trying to appeal to Jinguuji. One the other hand, I dropped the series after episode 8 specifically due to the lack of romance, so I'm glad I'm not missing anything.
