 Publisher Kadokawa announced on Tuesday that an anime adaptation of Kinosuke Naitou's Isekai Nonbiri Nouka (Farming life in another world.) light novel is in production.Synopsis Having died of sickness at the age of 39, Machio Hiraku is given the opportunity to go to another world. When asked what his wish is by God intending to give him strength, he requests to have a healthy body, offered a second wish, he chooses to live peacefully, a third wish to be able to know the local language, and for a final wish, to be able to be a farmer. Naitou began writing the fantasy series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in December 2016. Kadokawa began releasing the novel under its Enterbrain label in October 2017, featuring illustrations by Yasumo (Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita). The 12th volume is scheduled to release on March 31. Isekai Nonbiri Nouka has a cumulative of over 2,000,000 copies of its volumes in print. A manga adaptation drawn by Yasuyuki Tsurugi began serialization on the ComicWalker website and in Monthly Dragon Age magazine on October 2017. Kadokawa shipped the eighth volume on September 9. One Peace Books licensed the manga in English digitally and in print in September 2020. The fifth volume is scheduled to ship on May 3. | Oh, I actually really enjoyed this one. It had a very nice peaceful feeling that most slow life manga try for but just end up being boring. The sorta blasé humor and an MC who sorta just rolls with the punches made it a pretty pleasant read, imo. |
