Anyone REmember the show OCEAN GIRL

Don't worry i am not being a troll here cause i love Lull in the Sea don't get wrong.

But i am wondering if anyone while watching the show remember watching the show OCEAN GIRL and can't help see the some similarity of the two?
I know i sure have!

Similar:
Can breath and swim underwater with no fins
Can Walk on Land but have a time limit where need to get themselves wet or else get sick and die when get too dry.

Difference:
Ocean Girl not have Blue Eyes
Ocean Girl came from a different planet that isn't from Earth

In the lull of the Sea setting of underwater i can't help imagine what it be like from the ocean girl character neri homenplanet would look like this :)

I loved Ocean Girl!!!! I do see the similarities, but imo they are totally different stories.
