Is good to see Togusa, but was a weird episode. But covers the end of the first season.

I wonder if Togusa will want to shoot Suzuka when he meet her.

I also thought this episode was odd. But I guess it will tie into later events. It's great to see the storyline around Takeshi pick up again. I just hope they don't convolute things, but from the looks of it Mizukane und Takeshi are connected in some way, so I'll have faith in the writers.

Don't breaaaaaaaaaaaak me dowwwwwwwwwwn DONT DONT DONT BREAAAAAAAAAAAK ME DOWWWWWN

...

I couldn't follow what happened in this episode. I figured Togusa was trapped somewhere and reliving his memories, but I couldn't figure out what was happening on the train or after he called Batou.

I don't get it. What happened to Togusa in 1st season for he to be in a random orwellian village? I genuinely don't remember it at all

He had disappeared with Takeshi after getting into a military truck

what an amazing episode, probably the best episode of 2045 that I have seen thus far. Everything reminded me of the OG series, for a moment I thought Yoko Kanno was even involved in the soundtrack.

Yeah the tone of the episode reminded me a lot of the original GITS series.
Good to see Togusa again.

Now this is a strange episode. We finally reconnect with Togusa, but it's not in circumstances one would expect. He's being tortured horribly by Suzuka (the Post Human from episode 1-2) in a cell, and he's wondering if he's about to die. I didn't understand this, where it was supposed to be, he thinks it's 16 years ago....
There's another guy with him, who seems to want to escape, but he says he'll clear his own name. Huh? In a cell like that being tortured- there's no names to be cleared. No idea why he's there, or if it's an actual memory or made up- he doubts the events, and the part where he's given a gun to shoot the other guy with is straight out of Bourne Ultimatum. Then they escape into a frozen wasteland- kind of cliche- and they are on the run for days. But when he's finally captured, Togusa imagines Motoko, then wakes up unshaven on a commuter train. So he's finally come back to after disappearing.
The guy on the train (who looks like the one in his dream) says they're going to the "end" of the line.. or "N". The train goes to a stop where there's all ruined buildings and soldiers (again) but then he tries to get online, finds he can't, and locates an actual pay phone. That part was funny where he dials Section 9 on the phone.

I feel like the soldiers are out of place, and the 1984 connection is still kind of hard to figure with the plot. At least the senset was beautiful, but it was morning when he called.... no idea, still better than 95% of the anime I've watched this year

All that easily-hacked high tech and people still fail to ping their friends? 6/10

Anyway, guess that lone airman 1984 fan was another posthuman puppet for the forever soap of GitS.
