| It's still not as good as the 1st season but It's definitely better than the 1st half of this season. |

| Naw, it's not better. New characters are boring and have little to no uniqueness, the tortoise thingy was very sudden and poorly integrated in the story, and it ruined the hype that built up from the last season. The revenge native of the last season was what made shield hero interesting for me. Even though Melty's sister was an asshole last season, I think she was a decent antagonist, and I think she should've not been foiled so easily. Which is why this season's antagonist (someone completely new) is so boring and nonthreatening to me. I like the new world arc though, hope it gets better. |

| yeah!!! There was a lot of complaints that revenge plot ended in season 1 and now it is directionless. But recent episodes have sparked similar setting and the story is getting more and more interesting |
| People are far too judgemental. The Spirit Tortoise arc wasn't even that bad. It's only flaw in my opinion was the pacing. It felt a little rushed, but I loved how it felt like a massive raid battle from an MMO and it introduced the jackass character of this anime season... |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

| The last few episodes were better than the tortoise ones. But it's still not as good as season 1 was. The tortoise arc made permanent damage to the series, and the score still keeps dropping... |

| The ST Arc has always been the series weakest point, LN Readers can mostly tell you that, the way the anime adapted just made it worse in order to rush to 2nd arc which is way better and most people have come to an agreement that is has gotten better. Not much it will make a difference, if the first 3 ep dont make a good impression they pretty much want to score it down to the lowest, despite the prev season already was good and the later eps are good as well. I mean almost every series has one or two arcs that dont leave up to the hype. Oh well if u stuck around and enjoy it that is all that matters. |
| I'm not watching S2, but based on the manga one shitty arc just gets replaced by another shitty arc so no it never got better. |
