Surely we have to give credit to the VA behind Book Hero his laugh was extremely contagious.

The point is, It seems like this adaptation did such a poor job this season of getting the viewer to care about Soundtrack-san, Naofumi, or the self-enslaved reject (I had to look the name up) Rishia.

Did you notice how weak, insecure and basic Naofumi's character was this season? It's like S1 didn't happen, the development of last season thrown away in favor of your bog-standard 12-episode harem isekai MC.

To add to this The other so called "cardinal heros" instead of being strong pillars of the story,(since they are of same importance and power as naofumi) are just shamelessly discarded and used as plot devices.

One of the reasons this stood amongst(After S1) the titans of isekai was selling the MCs Character development but they've abandoned that this season.

We saw light, wholesome training arcs in S1 with development and attention to detail regarding the RPG nature, integral game elements of the world and the Shield upgrade tree. That's mostly gone this season yet another stool that pushed this is up and separated it from the rest is pulled away. However this probably due to the rushed nature of it.

I hope S3 is a return to form and 24 eps+ is needed again.

Yeah I didn't like Naofumi, but what made this season even worse for me was Rishia. My anger towards her was indescribable

Yeah I hated Rishia too lol. The scene where he got mad at her was the best scene this season

Everyone’s entitled to their opinions I guess I thought this season was 🔥 from start to finish. I wanted more shield hero and I got more shield hero I couldn’t ask for more thro I want more but I’m willing to wait S3 on the way.

I agree about the adaptation is being poor. It is rushed after all. But I don't understand why people so mad about Rishia though. I don't feel any anger towards her.

She's just an unnecessary character that nobody cares about, suddenly taking the spot light from the characters that people really want to see. There's nothing mysterious about it, it doesn't help that she's also a loser and a cry baby. Ost and Kizuna were better characters than her.
