I've finally completed the season. tbh, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I enjoyed this season better than the 1st one. they no longer pushed the edgy character. making naofumi a more believable human being than he was before.
I can see the animator trying so hard to make the action scene looks good although it is almost still as boring as the 1st season with spamming english words that might sounds cool for japanese. but sincree there is less fighting arc in this season, it is much more bearable. to put it short, an SAO downgrade -which is good.
so any way, to my topic/question.
while there are many questionable plot in the season, what I wanted to ask if whether there would be an explanation for a certain someone to bring along the sacred katana from another world?
I mean, isn't it weird that a creation from another world actually is the rightful owner of the sacred katana? considering in the world where the katana originates I don't think there were even the species that currently held it.
there were no ajin /human beast in larc and glasses world were there? even filo is transformed to a creation it is closest to
speaking of which why isnt raphtalia transformed into a raccoon or something
so i was just wondering if there would be an explanation like:
-the world is originally one
-all the heroes cross-world were bound to work together in the end
and while at it, if the current owner of the sacred katana stays with his/her party, won't that hinder the exp? since if heroes were in a party/close distance, they won't get exp cmiiw. - wait. how does this works when naofumi and larc partied in the island in s1?
if you want good story, read novel. if you want good graphic, read manga. anime is beyond that.
I'm okay with a being of another world being the master os the vassal, the only thing that I want to know
why didn't she got teleported when the wave began? Also, how is she coming back to her original world? its like taking the sword hero to that world, this would just make the power of the worlds go uneven
it could be explained that they have lots of vassals so one wouldn't make so much difference, but it's how the system of that world works so there's no room for this kind of thought

She didn't get teleported because she was in Naofumi's party and they can only be teleported all at once and if Naofumi himself gets teleported
Vassal heroes can travel across the worlds. There is no rule that a vassal weapon of one world can't exist in the other. If that were the case, then system would have interrupted their travel, like how Naofumi and his party were not allowed to travel into Glass's world in episode 6 until Ost gave them that rights.
I still don't understand the exp awards part, So, I wont comment on that part.

but she could get NOT teleported when naofumi and the fishing rod girl teleported using the dragon hour glass? sus

then why they seems like they're having trouble getting back to their own world (by following portal created by kyou instead of making their own).
i think i'm good with the katana brought to naofumi's world, but what about having it in another world creatures possession? esp. when there are rumor saying that heroes can save their own world by destroying other worlds (or killing their heroes. i'm not sure how it works).
won't it be weird to have a sacred weapon that serves as a way to repel calamity on your world to be in possession of someone from another world?

Raphatlia becomes a katana heroine, it doesn't mean that she will be teleported to the wave of this world (ep 11). From what I understand in S1 and S2, the person is teleported, if he has registered as a member of the cardinal hero's group in his correspondent world, for example, Yomogi, not being a vassal heroine, but being registered as a member of Kizuna's group, she is teleported along with the hunting heroine in Kizuna's own world. Vassal heroes can only be teleported if they are in the group of Cardinal hero in their corresponding world, in addition to being able to freely travel in any world, unlike with cardinal heroes... with the exception of Naofumi who obtained the power of the turtle, responsible for the manipulation of that power...

so basically the teleportation works for Cardinal heroes (the 4 main heroes), but not to the 7 (or so) vassal heroes? sorry, but I can't remember every characters name xD
how about the final battle with the wave in larcs world then? didnt larc, therese, glass, and the boat guy got teleported despite being vassal heroes? -some other dude said that raph didt got teleported cuz shes a party member of naofumi, so we can put that aside

Therese, L'Arc, Glass and the boat guy are part of Kizuna's group as well. So who is only transported, those who are members of some cardinal hero's group. Naofumi was not teleported in that wave (ep 11), because that world was not the world he was summoned, but Kizuna's. Otherwise, if Kizuna and her group were in Raphatalia's world, She and the others would not be teleported... and Naofumi and Raphatlalia (even though she is the heroine of katana) would be teleported into the wave...

Kizuna is the heroine of fishing, and yes, Kizuna is a cardinal heroine in her world. Katana weapon is not cardinal weapon, but it is vassal weapon of Kizuna's world

I see. this explains a lot. I should pay more attention to the weapon statuses. -not to be rude or anything- but basically the vassal weapon were like whatever right?
can you perhaps confirm that only cardinal weapon's wielder were human from our world? and can only be wield by one?

I did not understand your question...
"can you perhaps confirm that only cardinal weapon's wielder were human from our world? and can only be wield by one?"
I can't confirm this, there are exceptions. Only one can wield it, but after the hero's death, another person chosen by the weapon is called to be used.

I meant something like vassal weapon is meaningless. -it's just there- compared to cardinal weapon.
what cardinal weapon is not used by our human? u can use the spoiler tag

The vassal weapons are only used by people from the fantasy world. Therefore, they are in the fantasy worlds, for example, Glass and L'Arc, who are from Kizuna's world, and received their weapons in their own world. Unlike the Cardinal weapon, which appears only when summoning a person in the "real" world, such as Naofumi and the three heroes. But as I said, there are exceptions to this concept, which are:
The Cardinal ofuda weapon, which is a legendary weapon in the Kizuna world, which is used by a person in the fantasy world. And the book vassal weapon, which is used by the S2 villain Kyo, who is a person from "real" world like Naofumi

if I wanted to confirm your first sentence, it would have to be to the earlier episodes when naofumi got summoned right? whether if they were given the weapons, or the weapon got summoned with them.
tbh, I'm not a fan of this "exceptions" concept as it looks like plot inconsistency to me. but let's put that aside unless you have some explanation regarding why this exception actually makes sense.
has this ofuda weapon showed up in the anime? also, while we're at it, and you seems to be fond of the series and understands a lot about it, I need you to confirm some more:
-the book is a vassal weapon
-kyo is a real human -we agree to use the term "real human" for people coming from our world.
-->my question is, if kyo is from our world, on the episode about the woman who trusted kyo so much she followed his order just to stay by his side because she was fond of him (I forgot her name).
she mentioned about a childhood together with kyo.
1. does that mean that kyo is moved to isekai since he was a child? which I don't think so, because somewhere in the anime it was mentioned that kyo is also a gamer and turned evil when he thinks, "I should be allowed to do anything I want in this world".
2. the girl is also a real human and indeed is kyo's childhood friend. which doesn't makes sense either with how she expresses this
.3. I don't find any explanation for this phenomenon
can you explain how this girl has childhood experience with kyo who is supposed to be a real human?
and, while I was writing this, another thought came to mind: can someone be summoned not to wield the cardinal weapons? (why is kyo summoned in the 1st place?) I believe such summoning would be meaningless to the summoner -and demands another explanation to the summoning prequirements and mechanics
if you want good story, read novel. if you want good graphic, read manga. anime is beyond that.

To be honest, I can't confirm (because I don't remember how it was in S1 or the answer to this question should be answered with the history of ancient legendary heroes).
I wouldn't say it's plot inconsistencies, but world inconsistencies used on purpose... plot inconsistencies is another matter...
The Ofuda weapon has not yet appeared in the anime. Kkk yes, I like the series, although I don't like the idea of isekai. Yomogi (the girl) followed Kyo's orders for simply helping her during her tragic life...
1. I don't know much about Kyo's history (I'm not a LN reader, but a Manga reader). But in the anime, it implicitly indicates that Kyo was REINCARNED in the fantasy world, that is, he was "real human" and became a "fantasy world human", similar to Rudeus (Mushoku Tensei anime). This makes sense as he has a vassal weapon from the book, rather than a cardinal weapon.this made Kyo uncomfortable, as he became a vassal hero and not legendary, it kind of inferiorized him.
2. Yomogi is not real human, but from Kizuna's own world. Kyo only met her in this world...
3. In the third season, it will explain (I hope) that there are different types of summons (different causes and consequences). I forgot to tell you that there is another character who has reincarnated in the fantasy world, similar to Kyo's situation.

I see. All you said makes the series more senses. Except of course the inconsistencies still remains. Can't wait for season 3 to hopefully unravel this summoning system! I'm still hyped! I wish they won't add trash fighting scene and push the edgy naofumi like in S1

I believe that the summon system is not presented in S3...I'm even excited for the third season, because there will be a lot of characters that seem to be interesting...but now I have low expectations because of S2, and yes, the fight scenes were rubbish... Naofumi's nervous personality needs to be present in S3, as it will be a resource for his development, according to LN readers who told me...
