I was thinking of starting the series but I found that the Anime Is 8.38 rated while the Manga is 8.90 rated

So is Manga >>> Anime

The anime is an amazing adaptation. This is one where I think you can go either way. You can start with the anime and then transition the manga or if you’re more of a manga reader then start with the manga. Can’t go wrong either way.

Well, MAL ratings aren’t really accurate so they are not the best way to tell, also the anime has more than 10 times more members than the manga so…

As the other guy said, you can’t go wrong either way. Personally, I’d recommend to start with the anime as it just makes the manga more beautiful with the colors, voices and music.

The anime is an amazing adaptation but it hasn't adapted some of the later arcs that make the manga such a stand out; or so I've heard.

Comparing the two is rather unfair in that regard, it's not unlike comparing Berserk's 1997 adaptation to the manga. Yes, the adaptation is fantastic and does a great job of adapting the Golden Age arc, however, the likes of Conviction or Hawk of the Millennium are arguably better and have not yet been faithfully adapted. It's with that crux that many argue that Berserk's 97 adaptation isn't worth watching- the same can be argued with March and its manga adaptation.

Tl;dr- They both have their merits so they're both worth experiencing; maybe watch the anime then swap to the manga? If you're crunched for time and want to dip your toe in it, reading the manga alone is also viable.

I prefer the manga because the constant screaming and exaggerated "comedy" are too annoying in the anime. Aside from that, I can't deny it's a very good adaptation from a technical and stylistic standpoint; s1 is rated lower just because the best parts will come later.

This is a very faithful adaptation. It really adapted each chapter, literally pointing out which chapter was starting throughout the anime.

as someone who loves both versions of the series I gotta say that I love the anime more. I mean the show was given so much love with the animation, the music, the voice acting. It's really hard to compete against it.
But in the end it comes up to preference and both are amazingly good in their own way

Less people read manga than watch anime so scores are inflated. You’ll probably see way more people who’ve watched the anime rather than read the manga, which then the scores will be higher for the manga because of less users.

Also you top top manga score is I think a 9.4 while the top anime is 9.13, that’s because, like I said, inflation.

If you like manga in general more, then the manga. Part of what makes this show so great is the somber music and the somber voice acting.

So anime >>>> manga

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

Shaft Studio did a amazing job with the anime, the animation, music and direction of the anime are top tier, so i recommend watching the anime amd then reading the manga, meanwhile, i will wait dreaming that a 3rd season is coming
