| That might have been somewhat true if Heaven's Feel did not exist. Ufotable's animation is still much better, though not as much as Bones. Mushoku Tensei does have better art though. |

| You could argue about which series has the better animation for its action, but Mushoku Tensei ain't an action series first and has many episodes where it's just talking and moving around with no action, and is still brought to life really well. Demon Slayer and Fate look great for their fights, Mushoku Tensei looks great for the whole package, especially beyond the limited amount of fights and training sequences. Animation's more than just the fights, the way the staff's able to bring the world to life and make it really immersive and almost real-like for a fantasy series, and make stuff feel magical is commendable to me. Besides that, the other elements of the visuals like the background art for sceneries are incredible to look at as well and adds even more to the immersion. So for considering the full package of what animation and visuals can bring to an adaptation, Mushoku Tensei's a series I definitely prefer way more. Even the Turning Point 2 episode was not the flashiest but the cinematography and capturing the tense mood was amazing, and its fights actually have more weight and intensity to them in general for not just how well they're animated but how quick they are, with each frame in the battle mattering and showing off many details and thought processes behind actions (like with the Eris training sequences and how she develops as a fighter when training with Ruijerd and how she improves in Episode 12 compared to Episode 21). I'm tired but yeah, MT just looks more magical and detailed to me, and the animation for the action and the stuff beyond the fight scenes look wonderful too. Brings the series to life way more beyond just the action. |
