Overall it's not a bad anime, I just don't like that they delayed saving weiss. My personal opinion is that they could have wrapped up the whole story much faster. The anime is one of many that didn't live up to its full potential. I don't know if they are planning a second season, but there is still a lot that needs to be said.

To me this anime is definitely bad and it's something that shouldn't have existed in the first place, this is a disservice to the OG RWBY, this is the Dragon Ball GT or Boruto of this franchise, but worse.

Anyway, I already shitted on this anime a lot so I don't feel like shitting on it any longer, I haven't watched the last episode but I will watch it in a couple of hours, if the last episode is nice (like episode 11) then I may change the rating from 2/10 to 3/10, it all depends on the last episode and I won't give more than that.

Everything after Vol 3 of OG RWBY is a disservice to Monty Oum, Roosterteeth practically took the series and smashed it into the ground; the only good thing is the animation got 100x better. Personally this is better than most of the stuff after Vol 3, with an exception of Vol 8 starting to get good again.

I won't exactly call everything past Vol 3 a disservice, Vol 4 and up is not as good as Vol 3 (which is the best volume by far!) but they had some nice things too. As you mentioned, the animation did improve so that's a plus and the fight choreography is just as good or even better which is a plus as well, I also love the facial expression of the characters and the facial expression did improve in Vol 4 and up wich is another plus. It does have good things and bad things but I believe the good things outweigh the bad, Vol 5 is bad though.

I disagree on Vol 4: it had to much prolonging of episodes (16 episodes, 4 are like lore episodes that are thrown in randomly throughout the Vol), episodes aren’t even consistent length, Vol 4 was to long and that made it practically boring; the last episode was very good character development wise and story wise, everything before that is underwhelming story wise.

There isn't anything else to tell. Ice Queendom is just supposed to be a side story for RWBY proper about Weiss (even though she has no agency for 60% of the show). That's why the series opens with Volume 1 of RWBY and ends with the first episode of volume 2. If you want more RWBY, then go watch RWBY.

I watched very little of the first adaptation of this, all the way back 2013/14. The only thing I liked was, the fight choreography? I guess.

So I'm happy this got made, inept as it may be, it allows me to stay within the loop. In stead of remaining ignorant.
