Do they ever solve the Shalltear issue from season one??
Ainz does at times mention this, but only in passing.
Will it be a major reveal??

Yes, but it has only just been revealed in the latest volume of the light novel. There are subtle hints given a few times in the light novel, and from what I recall once in the anime as well.

I thought this was addressed as just a coincidence because she killed the person that was casting the spell. I’ll have to look around but I think somewhere in season 2 or 3.

I thought recently Ainz said something like. " We haven't sorted the Shalltear problem out yet" meaning it is not solved.
Unless i remembered wrong.

We know from the anime that it was a woman named Caire/Kaire who used a World Item (her robe with the painting of a dragon) and that she came from Slane Theocracy, although whether or not she's currently still alive was not mentioned. But Ainz wasn't able to find this out, and Shalltear lost her memories so she couldn't tell Ainz either.

Season 4 Episode 3 touches on the subject in the beginning. But Ainz still hasn’t pieced it together.
