Did the anime cover the entire manga or did it have an original ending?

Haven't read the manga, but the anime didn't cover the whole manga. Manga has a conclusion, unsatisfied with it personally. But you know....

It cover the first 5 of of 10 manga volumes . with a last few episodes adaptation chapters from later volumes

I only own six manga series in book form. (Quite a few more in digital format.) After the Rain has a prominent place on my shelf.

I think the anime was faithful to the spirit of the original manga. Of course there is more in the manga, especially about Nishida Yui and Kujou Chihiro. I highly recommend the original manga by Mayuzuki Jun, and her new manga: Kowloon Generic Romance. Her art and her romances are very special.
