So it finally ends, not a big fan of these movies mostly because I barely understood what happened, I still don't know what was real and what was imagined by Eureka and what Eureka exactly.
The ending is kinda the same as in the tv show with Eureka and Renton falling while hugged and kissing.
Maybe I need a rewatch of all movies.

I knew this movie wouldn't be worth the wait.
but all I wanted was sweet mecha action and it gave me that. And a weird Terminator 2 Homage.

I just wish the movie made more sense. At least Anemone got a better send off than Asuka in 3.0 + 1.0

It feels like every entry after the original E7 has been worse and worse...

It was a welcome surprise that Eureka 7 somehow continues, but we didn't get more "Eureka 7", but a lot of "somehow".

We didn't get more out of the content and it destroyed more of the franchise than it should have.
The concept is too complex to follow, the very first anime season was nothing like that, it never was intended to become that hard to follow.

This movie is somehow labeled with Eureka 7, but it's nothing, they threw in everything from the Eureka 7 series, pushed it into a mixer, added magic mushrooms
et voilà we have a terrible moview that no one needs to see for any reason.

Milf Eureka plays bodyguard...

When a story is told, it's over, you don't have to revive it as multiverse whatever shit, it will make no one happy.

Seeing for a second time after a year has past and paying more attention help me understand it more and the story being told here and how it connects to the other series. Dewey pain is understandable with the other like ray and Charles also but they on an insane trip of destruction just to get eureka so at times made it hard to side with them knowing the part she played in the pain their sufferings with. The animation was a big change but I think it's because the universe they are in is much more like are real one with country's that exist here USA, Europe, Asia and more I don't mind the change but wish they keep the original style. Iris part was interesting and the moment share with eureka I enjoyed them, Music was good felt right with the movie well enough and overall the whole Film to me was a thrill of a ride to the end. Eureka and Renton... eternity.

Alright... This movie stands at the epitome of what an anime movie should be WHEN IT COMES TO THE OST and VISUALS.
I can see just how much effort and resources are poured into the animation, directing and choices of visuals. It made this movie feel so proper and the OST was fantastic, at some points the movie feels so alive akin to watching a live-action movie.

Nevertheless, the brilliance of the visuals and auditory experiences cannot save this movie from the jumblefuck of ACID TRIP that it is.
Despite having clear memory and knowledge of the Eureka High Evolution movies, it took a bit of reflection to connect the dots together, it's not that the narrative is complex, it's just that since this is all compressed into a trilogy movie format. At the end of the day, once it all clicked I understood the story. It's pretty okay, but then again as I said... It didn't save this movie.

The only parts I truly enjoy from this movie are the action, especially the space action at the end of the movie where the culmination of both human races' military forces do all their best to save the Earth from a gigantic interstellar spaceship on a collision course with many major population zones around the world. The zenith of all terroristic action. Aside from the action, I found myself enjoying Eureka's times spent with Iris, the fact that they're basically road-tripping across Europe really made the whole segment lovely. Though eerily this made me reminisce a bit about the journey that Terminator 2 has.

Space battle, Europe adventure. What else... Oh yeah! That cool random white RX-7, that is all... Everyone in this world can fuck off and be erased from reality. What an abomination of a story. Stop dreaming already Eureka lmao, kill them all.

A little bit dissapointed.
The movie was beautiful, but so confusing at the same time. I kept losing track on who was from which universe and even lost the track of which universe we were on. At the start, I thought we were on Ao's universe, but that seems just wrong. I really don't understand, and it really isn't a matter of how well you are "versed" with the E7 plot, this just broke it all.
Nevertheless, I was happy to see some attempt on finding closure much as Evangelion did on their rebuild series, but this really did not make the mark as Gainax did.
I am giving it a 7 purely based on my love towards the series, but this was not the ending I was expecting for nor one I understood at all. Eureka semmed so... not herself. Where are Maurice, Maeter, and Linck? How could it be that this Eureka does not understand what family is? Why is Renton like this?
I will limit myself to recommending the original series and pocketfull of rainbows. Such a shame.
