 Publisher Kadokawa and animation studio TROYCA announced on Friday an original television anime titled Overtake! and revealed the main cast, staff, teaser visual, and a teaser promotional video.Anan Furuya (Mahoutsukai Reimeiki) and Katsuyuki Konishi (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze) are starring as Haruka Asahina and Kouya Madoka, respectively. He decides to support Asahina and help him make his dream come true with the small team, Komaki Motors. With this, the lives of Madoka and Asahina, who have completely different personalities and ages, intersect with each other. | Yooooooo!!, it's been 3 years since Ei Aoki's last original. But to be completely honest, both the writers involved are kind of awful especially compared to someone like Maijo Outarou. If only one of them had some inventiveness, the most you're going to get from this is just a bunch of POVs. gonna lower some expectations then if the writers are weak this time and Aoiki original anime usually are not that sakuga fest too but still have strong productions Troyca productions would have a higher chance to hold it together, ID Invaded on the other hand, started melting from the early episodes. |

I do feel the timing of this announcement might be hinting Kadokawa/TROYCA want to compete with Kodansha/Avex Pictures/Felix Films' MF Ghost (I know its a different kind of racing, but still).
