With the official release of all volumes, I'm started reading it, again (stopped by vol. 6 fan trans).

What's know popping up while riding it, what is the exact chronological order?

I know that after vol. 6 I should read the bonus track of vol. 7 and the sports festival arc in vol. 6.5 is taking place after vol. 6.
The bonus track of vol 6.5 is taking place after vol. 9 I think.
The one I'm actual confused about is vol. 7.5. There're a bunch of short stories, and I think it is hard to say the chronological order volume wise.
So, after which volume and chapter did each shorts of vol. 7.5 takes place?

I'd appreciate if someone already figured it out.

The chronological order has some volumes like 7.5 (IIRC) being after 10 (since they mention events that like the Christmas one). I advice you to read it in numeric order, since it is easier to understand and WW chose the order for his own reasons. But some .5 vols. were written not necessarily after its main one (e.g. 7.5 after 7)

What Kitsu suggested is not a bad way of reading. After all, once you read up to certain events in the Novels, it all comes together. So reading in the numbered order is fine. However, if you want, and if I recall correctly, the order of events to be read is something like this: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7.5, 8, 9, 6.5, 10, etc. Since I'm not too sure, I gonna direct this to @cchigu for better references.

Idk if it really was intended. I think Wataru just had some ideas and just forgot about it and had to write about it.
The thing is, I know after Vol. 7 there is a tension or kinda like a character development in a way, I want to read more about the "main" story. And reading about past events is like a bumper.

@KitsuFrost @LordSozin

Its been a while so take this with a grain of salt, but Vol 7.5 happens, well at least some of the side stories(?), around the events of volumes 7 and 8, since I remember Isshiki being actually first introduced in the series in one of the short stories in that volume.

As for the recommended reading order, production order and chronological order don't differ since the former follow a linear progression in time. And I recommend reading all the .5 volumes as well as the ANOTHER version, especially if you like Yui!

Well, there you have it, @Manaton. It's no worries because the .5 volumes are canon. It's just that you don't see them in the anime much. Though, I would say it's fine if you just want to read the main narrative. You can always go back to it later.

Can't believe they skipped the judo senpai arc.

But I'm glad the answer is here.

Absolutely. Some of my favorite events such as the arcade, the pet show between Yukino and Hachiman (really loved that one), Saki and Hachiman's interaction that was somewhere between season 1 or 2 that should've been adapted, etc and etc. Some argue those aren't important but I say they add a whole lot more to the series than you think!

YES! Saki and also Yumiko are different characters in both "worlds". I just liked them more in the novels. The shore scene for the fake prom is simple yet amazing. 8man's monologues enhance the experience, and also show how he changed his mind and grew.

There are many parts that sadly never made to Feel/Brains projects. WW actually makes the club LOOK LIKE a club, especially in .5 stories.
