In Japan, even monkeys and capybaras enjoy soaking in hot springs. In addition to onsens, there are also public bathhouses called sentos which are recommended to visit. Have you ever been to a sento before?

I have been to both onsen and sento many times!
It’s so relaxing to soak in the hot water in the evening after a long day working. I always leave feeling clean and refreshed afterwards (and ready for bed)!

I’ve visited public baths with Japanese and non-Japanese friends and even my mum. The first time I was worried about being naked in front of strangers but because everyone is naked, it doesn’t feel so important that you are also naked. From young children to old ladies, I’ve seen it all and they’ve seen me too haha!

It feels great to soak in hot water and refresh both your mind and body! While it may be initially worried about getting naked, watching the Studio Ghibli movie 'Spirited Away' made me realize that not only humans, but also various other beings may go to hot springs.

I have been to a natural open-air hot spring in Açores and can tell you without hesitation that it was the best part of the trip.
I never thought it would be that hot but after the initial battle entering the spring, it was really really relaxing!
It was also raining that day and I don't know why but it made it feel even better ^w^

Hot springs in the rain can be quite lovely too! I'm glad you were able to relax!

I've never been to a Japan and they aren't particularly common in the U.S., so no lol. Never had the chance thus far.

Never been to an onsen or a sento, for a long time my family wouldn't allow me to be anywhere near those especially when they're public.

Been considering it a bit nowadays though.
