| So, I realised that there's one genere that I haven't watched a single Anime of. And it's the most popular one, Isekai. Idk why, but whenever I hear about Isekai, I just don't feel interested. I just seriously dk why it is like this. But I really do wanna watch one. So, I've heard about a lot of Isekai series. But recently Mushouku Tensei has really caught my attention. And it's also really praised my many. So I'm thinking of giving it a try. But personally I'm more interested in Konosuba. Konosuba just looks like a really fun and chill series. But I might be wrong. I'm just completely guessing this by looks. It'd be great if you can recommend me an great Isekai series which I can enjoy and have fun with. I want a fun and chill type of series without much seriousness or much fights and all. Thanks. |

| Campfire Cooking in Another World seems perfect for you. Most isekai tend to lean toward more serious themes and plenty of fighting but this one is more lighthearted and chill. I found it to be pretty enjoyable. Its also got decent animation since it was animated by MAPPA. |

| Konosuba is kinda like a parody of isekais, ofc you'll have fun watching it as your first isekai but you'll have more fun if you watch some base levels isekais. tbh, although I didn't find jobless reincarnation a masterpiece but it was pretty good. As for your first isekai, I would say you start with something like tsukimichi (kinda a better generic isekai) (under popular in my opinion) it would put your isekai expectations in the middle, then you can watch the better ones such as re:zero, jobless, overlord, NGNL, Tanya, etc |

| Konosuba is definitely a better starter if you want something less serious, another solid option is reincarnated as a slime, which slowing gets more serious in the 2nd season. However Mushoku Tensei is a fantastic isseki even with it’s questionable MC. If you really want to avoid fighting Ascendence of a Bookworm is a great slice of life. |

| I mean the top 3 best isekai are probably: -Re:Zero -Mushoku Tensei -Konosuba Also, what’s great about thise isekai is that not only there are amazing, but they are so different from each others. Re:Zero takes a lot of inspiration from MMORPG, but it do it in a good way and it’s also a very serious and gore show, even if it doesn’t look like it at first glance. Mushoku Tensei is not only one of the best isekai you can find out there, but it’s also one of the isekai that impacted the most this genra since the original story is quite old, but what is also great about it, is that every arc have a different theme. Lastly, Konosuba is probably the BEST comedy anime show you can find out there, even if generally anime are not funny, this one is hella funny, but like another guy said in the comment, Konosuba is a anime that parody the whole genra of isekai, so some of the joke hit better when you already watched other isekai. |

| Mushoku Tensei is a great and unique isekai anime/light novel that changed isekai manga’s world and inspired other isekai manga as well. This anime is great, but I will not recommend this to you as the first anime because 1. it’s a bit serious (not much) and long story line 2. I think you should watch typical/mainstream isekai first, then you will know you like isekai or not. Like other genres, there many types of isekai such as isekai action, isekai romance, isekai food, ect. I would recommend you these for the first/second isekai anime to watch - Honzuki no Gekokujou - Tensei shirata Slime datte Ken (funny, not that serious, great story, not much fight, **really recommend) - Tondemo skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi (super chill food decent component of isekai) - BOFURI (super chill and overpowered mc, funny) - Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute PS These are not my top 5 isekai list or anything (well some are my fav). I just trued to pick ‘less fighting and chilling’ isekai for you. I personally don’t like fan-service in Konosuba, it’s too much and not funny for me, sorry. |

Levi1108 said: Now, just to clarify. It's not like you need to watch all the best isekai before Konosuba, that wouldn't necessarily be more helpful. I think you need to have a decent frame of reference for the genre, but overall I would say Konosuba parodies the more generic, harem wish fulfillment isekai, than anything else. So, in that regard I would say that Slime is probably the closest thing to that, but it's still a well made series, even if uses some of the more generic tropes and clichés.LostSpectre said: Levi1108 said: LostSpectre said: MortalAuritras said: I shouldn't have had to scroll this far to find this comment, Konosuba would be wasted as a first isekai, you need Konosuba is kinda like a parody of isekais, ofc you'll have fun watching it as your first isekai but you'll have more fun if you watch some base levels isekais. tbh, although I didn't find jobless reincarnation a masterpiece but it was pretty good. I mean it is The parody isekai show. |

Now that you say it, can you tell me some Romance Isekai without much action or fights. If there is one. Most of the "romance isekai" are more like harem anime than romance Alright. I'll look into it and find something I'm interested in. Idk if there is really a romance isekai that you would like, because I just saw your account and you seem to be more into classic romance, so unfortunately I don’t think you will really find a romance isekai with no fighting, but I can recommend you some isekai with some romance in it. That'd be great if you can. I LOVE romance shows. |

As for the recommendation for isekai with romance in it, I mean Re:zero does have a lot of romance (also torture but that’s another thing) and Mushoku tensei is going to have a big arc where their is a lot of romance, but it’s coming in a few month. I’m the villainess so I’m taming the final boss is kinda a romance and There is also My next live as a villainess (They have similar name but they are not the same). |

(well, there is fighting but if you like Clannad, you may like this) - No Game No Life (fighting in terms of strategy game, ecchi) - Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita (so-so romance isekai) - Honzuki no Gekokujou (mainly focus on making things) - Sonny Boy (Mystery, unique isekai) - Spirited Away (a popular movie that had gotten the highest box office, for Japanese movie, for 19 years before KnY movie came out) |

Thanks. If you want something fun without much seriousness in it, don't mind it being a little old school or much fights then I would suggest the following- 1.Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari A spinoff of Tenchi Muyo series, but you don't need to watch the main series to watch it. Its a harem, comedy, isekai, mecha with a little bit of fantasy thrown in. 2.Zero no Tsukaima Isekai, comedy, fantasy and a tad bit of romance. 3. El Hazard There is two different cannons. One is the El Hazard- the Wanderers. The other cannon is El Hazard the Magnificent World OVA series followed by the El Hazard the Alternative World tv series 4.Dual! Parallel Lun-Lun Monogatari Isekai with a little bit of comedy, harem, and mecha. |

I disagree with your point of the fan-service in Konosuba, actually when there is a "Fan service" scene, it’s not like other anime where they do it for the fan, because in Konosuba they do it to make fun of the the fact that there is generally so much fan-service in isekai. I mean it is The parody isekai show. I accept your disagreement. My opinion is an unpopular opinion. I just didn’t enjoy Konosuba, specially when mc keep stealing girl’s pants, that’s why when I think of Konosuba I think of fan-service. It’s favorite anime of many people but but it’s just not my type. |
