Does anyone else think the English VA for Parona is atrocious?

The dub is unwatchable for me because this clunky bad voice over work for just one character. It sounds like she’s recording in a room next to her parents - scared to wake them or scared of being embarrassed 😂

I wouldnt know, I dont generally watched dub because I prefer the Japanese voice actors.

I’m not an elitist dub or sub champion, but when I love a show I try to watch both. Something just hits different about subs, original VAs almost always beat USA VAs

yes it sucks, like 99% of anime dubs

funny thing is, i went to check how bad her voice is and there's a scene in which a grown woman was voiced by a man for some reason lol, it felt extremely jarring

Is it just me or do English vas go wayyyy over the top like cartoon style way more often than Japanese

I said above I always watch both sub and dub for shows I really like. To explain more than anyone cares to read >.> I like watching full focus first time (sub) and then second watch I do dub (in background as I do dishes or clean). Hope that makes sense!

haven't seen the dub, but she has basically no experience so that kinda explains it. it bothers me when they cast people who barely know what they're doing for serious stories like this, summertime renders dub also falters because of this

Bruh ngl I thought the exact opposite, literally had to follow her on insta. I thought her voice was fkn beautiful and really refreshing
