Did you read the Light Novel for "Liar liar" which is releasing right now?

This gives the vibe of "Liar Liar" more with that cover picture, art style and the plot with playing games strategy. And they even have the same hair colour as the characters from "Liar liar". The MC has black and the girl has red.
So, is this going to be any different than that or more interesting?
Please describe what this anime has in store for us.

Havent read Liar Liar's  LN, since the first english volume will be releasing in august, but it is somewhat similar.
It's similar to it  in terms of everyone trying to outsmart each other in games, but slightly different.

lets look at some similar anime series

Classroom of the Elite takes itself very seriously
No Game No Life is less serious than COTE and uses games instead of special exams, but is still similar overall.
Liar Liar(the anime at least) is a lot less serious than COTE and NGNL and they dont really explain the rules of the games well (We have basically no idea what abilities can be used and how the protagonist could possibly win)

This series, God's Games We Play, is between Liar Liar and NGNL (but more similar to NGNL). The stakes are a little lower than in NGNL but still high. Unlike Liar Liar, this series explains the rules of the games VERY clearly (unless the game is about figuring out the rules, but has a lot more of the lightheartedness and messing around outside of games.

In my opinion, Gods Games We Play is more entertaining than Liar Liar, because the viewer can think along with the possible strategies and the answers in the games.

This looks just like a repeat meh anime of Liar Liar. Also has the ecchi tag as well when there will probably not be any ecchi, like liar liar. xDD

@KittenArchiver as I explained above, Liar Liar was disappointing because of all the asspulls and unclear rules. This, on the other hand, explains the rules VERY clearly, letting the viewer actually appreciate the mind games.
As for the ecchi..... I think this has more?

@Maxawa

I love COTE and am disappointed in Liar Liar for the same reasons you explained. So I'll be taking your word on this one and giving it a go.

Only interested in this if it actually delivers on the ecchi tag it currently has.

I instantly thought Liar Liar the moment I saw an ad for this. Like bro, a repeat of what I've just seen. I'll still give it a chance, though.

@Noegusis I'd advise at least finishing the first game against the gods (probably ep 2 or maybe 3) ;)
