Personally, the 1st volume of the LN was notoriously slow. But the anime adaptation is skipping some stuff so pacing also feel a bit iffy. I expect things to ramp up by episode 6.

So far good. Even interesting because they actually did little change which give a great foreshadowing earlier to what will happen later.

I'm not an LN reader but I know the MC has a Spellblade, will he use it in the anime given the pacing with the LN? Because that's the only thing that I wanted to see, it's literally the title anyway.

Oliver will only use the spellblade once in the anime, probably in episode 6 or 7. It's in the epilogue of volume 1 of LN.

Its good. Its doing the job property of setting up future events while only cutting what is absolutely not necessary. Its rearranged some stuff but that is normal. Outside of having a longer episode runtime I don't JC staff could do any better. Half of vol 1 is setup compared to the other books afterall.

The other LN readers have answered your question. Decent adaptation.

There are some cut content such as the prologue and dialogues but those are negligible to the main story. I think those are cut because the LN volumes are really long and it will take a very long time for explain the worldbuilding if they make a perfect adaptation.

Some LN length estimations:
Reign Of Seven Spellblades usually took me 5 hours to read a volume.
Altina The Sword Princess took me 2 hours per volume.
Seirei Gensouki took about 3 hours per volume.

Some prior warning, this show has a ton of gore from now onwards. Do not watch with children if you don't want them to watch gore.

The first volume, and especially the first half but even the first volume as a whole, is the weakest out of the first 11, and the most "traditional" (some would say cliché, but I disagree, for it wasn't traditional in a bad way) for a LN as well. They're taking their time and while I have a few objections on some of the choices they made, they're overall doing pretty well ImO. It isn't the best or most faithfull adaptation I've seen, but it's certainly trying, and it's nowhere near bad.

So we will get like 2 volumes of LN for the first season? Anyway it's good if he's gonna use it.

Vol 2 ends with a cliffhanger so I doubt they'll stop here. Most probably they're going for 3 vols.

Not only that but there is setup for vol 3 there as well. Plus vol 3 ends Year 1 at Kimberly.
