why do people prefer him with Sagiri, she straight up says it isn't romantic😭 And my man Gabimaru has never stopped loving his wife (well his lost memory made him forget, but he didn't remember anyone besides his clan at this point in the anime)

Whether she's fake or not I can't see him ending up with Sagiri, he'd either die, learn to be happy alone, or end up with his wife. Pretty sure the author said a while ago he added the wife in the first chapter so people would understand that he wasn't romantically entangled with Sagiri or Yuzuriha (or anyone on the island)

Romamce developed from friendship is much more satisfying than an arranged marriage with a character we don't care about (Gabimaru's wife), who is used as just a plot device.

I know what a Tsundere is and Sagiri definitely isn't one, there's a whole thing about her being vulnerable and straightforward about her feelings/weaknesses.
Besides Tsunderes are aggressive, I could see an argument that she's a kuudere (which I again would counter with my first statement), but she's never acted at all like a Tsundere

I see your point because it is used as a plot device, but it's clear Gabimaru and his wife love each other. I care about her and their reunion just from flashbacks in this season (ignoring manga) and Gabimaru's drive/care alone.
Also since it's a major plot point it'd be very difficult to ignore and have him end up with someone else. As I said, the author added it to the plot so people would understand a male/female relationship that isn't sexual/romantic but still can be a form of caring/love

If you seriously think she’s a tsundere, I beg you to rewatch and actually pay attention to her character this time. She shows no indication of any romantic feelings to him or anyone in the show, nor does Gabimaru show those feelings for anyone other than his wife.

expect gabimaru loves his wife so much he would do literally anything (and does) to get back to her. Sagiri and gabimaru are friends, nothing more nothing less.

when you are a couple it is very dangerous to get close with others even if you get along well you have to keep your distance and have to maintain a certain imaginary line otherwise it becomes a slippery slope and you end up hurting your partner/spouse.

at times I have seen, if the 2 are just friends others would plant the idea in their heads and make them question their relationship, or plain gossip behind their backs pairing them just because they get along well.

Just like the creator of this poll is doing.

or they claim they are good friends but one of them is secretly in love but won't ever let the other one know except subtly scatter small hints everywhere but that person they say they love is so oblivious.

As a manga reader, I can tell you that she does. If that Genjutsu did not become reality, she would've been there to console him and scooped him up.

They both changed each other to be better people, a.k.a. soulmates.

This is just Ichigo and Rukia all over again but the reason that ended the way it did it is because Rukia is dead.

Sagiri was at her peak in episode 1. Afterwards her character took the nosedive of the season. Probably the only character in this show I would call "annoying bitch, get off my screen, I don't care if you're pretty".
