| Melfina's character design in this episode is pretty inconsistent with that of other episodes, at least in the chest. I note that in the hacking sequence Melfina retreated to a stereotypical girl's bedroom. Did she ever have such a thing? How old is she, really? Since she's artificial, she could have been produced in the form she appears here rather than growing from an infant like a normal human. |
| I feel like Melfina must have the mind of another girl who probably died... maybe that Gwen Khan guy's daughter? If nothing else it would seem like that guy is probably the one who created her. |

Realizing after I finished, the 2 OVA episodes are stuck in the set at 16 and 22 I think. |

| Well I got the BD's (albeit not on Day 1, but it was on sale a few months so maybe they corrected the order). Really really wanted Gene to have smacked the shit out of that ass clown Harry. Especially for hitting Melfina like that. Should have insulted him more when he had him cornered in Diablos ship a few episodes. Glad Gilliam saved the day!! Gene still hasn't forgotten what they did to Hilda. I respect that! Also they explain the differences between a Human, Cyborg and a Bio Android. I feel that this kind of future will be far far away from humanity unfortunately. Too many nutjobs will halt the progress of technology. And will devalue females so they will no longer be a "requirement" for reproducing and starting a family o your own. Anyways, I guess the next episode will be another filler. Want Gene to get back at these MacDougall bastards. |
| Okay I doubled check and indeed the clowns at Funimation inserted the 2 OVAs as part of the series instead of separating them. That's why I find it weird to see how this show had 26 episodes(usually 24 was the standard). Anyways, Things start to diverge in the Funimation BD's from Episode 16 onwards. So now the Demon Water Planet is the first OVA. The 2nd OVA, we'll have to see. |

| Harry is pure cringe, I feel for those people in relationship are stuck with people like him. The older brother means business, and he definitely cares for his little brother, Harry. My wish list is the sword woman fights with an actual sword that isn't made from wood. |

| Wow this episode really picked up with the plot, there was quite a lot of revelations here. First of we apparently have a clue as to what Melfina actually is and she's basically a bio-android and evidently Harry of the McDougall brothers is one as well while that's moving the plot along, his affection for her is just bordering on psychopathic really I mean he hit Melfina with the bouquet that he had got for her and literally smashed the door to the Starwind and Hawkings Headquarters and tried to hijack the Outlaw Star itself, thank god Gilliam II was there to help her when Harry was trying to hack the systems of the ship. Such a psychopathic manchild right there. What made him think Melfina would fall for him when he's just acting insanely towards her and just being so possessive as well? God only knows with that one, god only knows. Anyways I think that Gwen Khan guy may be the key to how Gene and the others are going to find the Galactic Leyline. I really didn't think the McDougall brothers were gonna be major players in the story but there ya go. Rob's probably the more serious one out of the two brothers, I mean well he is the eldest out of the two. Really like how Gene is not gonna forgive the brothers for what they did to Hilda so I can respect that he's got his priorities straight which I can respect. Really good stuff, really good stuff, the plot's really picking up here. And it's only going to get even more serious from what I can tell. |
