| This episode was interesting commentary on the nature of science vs. spirituality. The end messaged was that knowledge trumps all, but it also appeared to be saying that spirituality is a ridiculous pursuit people are tricked into by con-men with ulterior motives just looking after themselves. It's not a message I agree with even in the slightest, but it was quite interesting all the same. I like how they slip these "deeper" messages into a kids show. |

| It's really sad seeing their partner Digimon suffering cos of their human partners and how the Digimon readily accepts their partner's apology when their partners came back to their senses. Tokomon was all 'it's OK!' to Takeru the prev episode, and quickly downplaying the mistreatment his partner gave him. Though in this case, it's not exactly Koushirou's fault. |

| A MUCH better Crest evolution episode than the last two The pace, how Koushirou loses his trait and regains it, the sequence all feel more organic and not because the writers needed it to happen. The villain was interesting too (lol at him loving crap), but that's the norm for Adventure. The flaws I'd give is: 1) his Crest should have glowed when he got his heart back all up until evolution happened. 2) Vandermon should have used whatever he did with the whole "Hell" thing to try and trick Koushirou again and have Koushirou not give up his inquisitive heart to activate the Crest. 3) I do think Tentomon should have tried to figure out who to escape and engage with Koushirou that way... 4) And I do have to wonder why the door suddenly appear out of nowhere and for no reason. 5) How did Gennai appear in the sky? If he could do that why not do that in the first place? It felt like the writers throwing the kids the next tool so they can hurry and get to the next plot-point. 6) If they were going to make the Digmon Analyzer canon... why did they introduce it beforehand? Just have the digimon explain who each digimon was until they got it! 7) If PicoDevimon needed to steal the Crests... his previous plans were total crap and no way would they help him get them. It's obvious to me the writers realized just stopping the Crests from activating made no sense as long as they had them. Mod Edit: Added spoiler tags; please hide plot details. |

Yamato and Takeru. Gennai. PicoDevimon. Vamdemon. Dat punishment. Dat ending. A bunch of crap in the episode. lol Funny how Atlurkabuterimon shinka isn't CG. So PicoDevimon didn't reveal the name of Koushiro's crest. |

| There are some digimon designs that just... don't convince me. It even makes me feel at times like I'm not watching the same show when they appear. What is Roger doing here? If the reference is understood. I like that the new evolution is more colorful! |
