Do you like rice cakes?
At New Year's, we eat and decorate rice cakes such as "Kagamimochi" and "Ozoni".

Pounding rice cakes is a very strenuous activity.

The ingredients and seasoning of ozoni differ from region to region.
It would be fun to make ozoni of each region.
Zoni is delicious with many ingredients.

Huh, didn't know of the term "kagamimochi" before though I knew about something like that. Same with ozoni.

The isobeyaki looks like the Lava Cookie in Pokémon! Though it seems that is more based on senbei.

New Year's is a relative's birthday, so I usually associate New Year's with cake rather than soba noodles or those foods.
