Season 2 is pretty good you should give it a chance

First of all, you should stop listening to Twitterians.
Second of all, no underage character younger than Rudeus will be sexualised because author never subscribed to this "adult in child's body" rhetoric.
You will totally enjoy it if you just won't listen to perpetually offended, because they are still trying to desperately throw dirt on the series, but now it is just petty.

@bladewade His preferences never changed tho, because he was lusting after every pretty female. As I mentioned before, author never subscribed to this "adult in child's body" rhetoric, so he was romancing with Eris and Sylphie simply because they were of similar age and absolutely won't lust after someone underage in the future.

Fairly predictable that people weren't going to be as interested in season 2's school arc. Stuff should pick up from the 2nd part on, the real action only starts in the 3rd season though. That's where stuff gets interesting.

What I do wonder is when we're getting that 3rd season. Show may be based on the light novel but I wouldn't be surprised if they were to move to other stuff for the time being. Just so they don't get too much ahead of the manga. At least I've had the impression that they prefer not to even though a show is based on a light novel. Perhaps that's just a misconception of mine.

At least the last light novel volume is translated by februari.

It’s not worth it. I dropped it after s1 part 1 but I had nothing to watch so I decided to give it another try. I watched all of it at 2x speed and skipping. His preference doesn’t not change and neither does his behavior. This is my opinion but it’s not worth your sanity.

The main story throughout the seasons is enjoyable, so if you can endure through the obvious issues, you might enjoy the rest.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

continue watching. This series only gets better and better the older Rudeus gets. He actually matures and grows and grows up. If i remember properly, that should be season 2 part 2 and season 3. After season 2, part 2, where things happen that force him to grow up, he does. That becomes more apparent in what will be season 3 and beyond. This entire story is basically built around that, growing up. So yes, he becomes a much better person very soon in the story. Don't drop it. He becomes a very respectable person imo as he gets older and has more responsibilities in the story
