I'm not sure I would be able. He did kill everyone who ever loved and cared for her~ Why did she forgive him? . . . wasn't it because she needed to know the truth about her past?

I believed that she forgave him because Johan didn't choose to be what he has become - a monster. Yes, he had done horrible things but if there is one (or perhaps two) person she will never forgive, it's either Petr Capek or Franz Bonaparta.

Johan is eventually still a victim of a post-Nazi experiment, i.e. a manufactured monster and Anna understands this.

I think if I was Nina I would understand simply because of Johan's life. Also considering they were twins they have a sort of special bond that one cannot deny.

This is true, I would also forgive him because of these things.

i think she would have to because at the end he was the only one who cared for her from the past that was left and she didnt want him to die to so that all her past was gone except for memories

It's hard to say for Nina. I can understand reasons for either way her decision would go. Johan is actually my favourite character because I find him to be one of the most fascinating characters ever.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was very confused when she forgives him
